Vernonia, Oregon
Nestled in the Oregon Coast Range on the Nehalem River
The small community of Vernonia is accessible from both HWY 30 and HWY 26. A former logging town, Vernonia is rural with beautiful landscapes and is commutable to Washington County.
The City of Vernonia website describes the town this way: “Surrounded by Douglas Fir forests, Vernonia strives to maintain our historic logging roots while providing a welcoming community in which to live, work, and play. Vernonia offers quiet country living and a great place to visit. Whether you live here or are just passing through, we invite you to enjoy everything Vernonia has to offer.”
